This one-day interactive and engaging in-house workshop is for up to 8 management-level participants

This workshop has been developed specifically for management level staff in care settings to embark successfully on a culture change journey within their setting. Using the Care Culture Map tool as a framework to visually explore the key aspects of this journey, the workshop addresses the potential pitfalls and obstacles that may be encountered, identifies key attributes, skills and aptitudes to enhance and develop across the teams, and investigates advanced care cultures that have embedded highly participative practices with their residents and staff.

“Why Aren’t Care Home Gardens Used More Actively?” Half day workshop for Garden Designers, Landscape Architects and Outdoor Specialists

This was the question that prompted us to carry out our large scale research and to which we found the definitive answer. Spoiler Alert: how well the care garden is being used has little to do with how pretty or tidy it is. This Workshop is ideal for any outdoor specialists who are working with a care setting or other institutional type setting (e.g. Prisons, Schools, Hospitals) and who want to ensure that their work will lead to higher engagement levels for residents with the outside space. We introduce our new approach to working with care settings, ‘Relationship-Centred Design’ and share many anecdotes and helpful insights from our research to equip you with greater confidence in your work with care sector (and other institutional) clients.

Workshop Fee: £99.00 per person, early bird rates may apply
